Erect, slender pyramidal tree in its younger years. Very slow growing so will suit a more confined space for a long time. They will tolerate moderate frosts but do best planted in amongst other trees if in an exposed site. They also like a damp position. In its juvenile stage the leaves are brown before turning green in its mature form. Our trees are grown out in the nursery so have been exposed to the elements.
