We are a wholesale and retail ornamental tree nursery located at Ashley Gorge, Oxford, just ¾ of an hour North-West of Christchurch.

It is our commitment to you, our customer, to grow the highest quality trees – whether it be for the home garden and 10 acre block, or a commercial landscaping project – at affordable prices.

Open 9am to 3pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Closed weekends and public holidays unless by arrangement.

We’ve been growing trees for Cantabrians since 2007

Our philosophy is to use proven best practice to produce high quality trees at a reasonable price that are hardy to Canterbury conditions.

The Gorge Nursery is owned by Sis Johnston. It is 1.5ha with approximately 7000 ornamental trees. It is located at Ashley Gorge near Oxford.

Sis completed her Amenity Horticulture Apprenticeships with the then Waimari District Council. She has 18 years’ experience in the nursery industry, giving them a good skill base to pull from.

The Gorge Nursery are passionate about trees and like to give one on one time with our customers to help select the right trees to fulfil their vision, which will do well in their location.

We have been passionately serving our retail and trade customers in the North Canterbury, Waimakariri, Selwyn and Christchurch districts for nearly 20 years.
