How do I buy plants listed on this website?
Just print off an order form from this site, fill it out and either email it or send it to us in the post. We will then reply with availability and confirmation of your order. You will then pay using your chosen payment option.
What freight charges will I have to pay?
The freight charges are calculated based on the overall weight of your order and the delivery location. To get an exact amount, you can add all the products you wish to purchase to your Shopping Cart, and on the Cart page specify your location to get a freight quote, prior to placing the order. Please note freight is only calculated for South Island deliveries. For purchases in the North Island and outside of New Zealand, freight will not be included in the initial cost. We will confirm the final freight price with you, so we suggest contacting us directly to place orders outside of the South Island.
How is my order delivered?
If you live within an hour of us we will deliver your order at an arranged time and day. If you live outside our delivery zone a freight company specialising in freighting plants will deliver your trees/shrubs either to your home or to an agreed location for your collection. (The freight company may prefer a drop off point at your nearest town if you live in a rural area).
How long will it take to receive my trees/shrubs?
Our deliveries will be made weekly or as orders demand. Long distance freighting will depend on when the freight company will be in your area next.
Can I come out and select the trees I am buying from the nursery?
Yes you can. People are always welcome to come out to the nursery and select their trees/shrubs. Please contact us to arrange a time.
Can I come out and pick up my trees from the nursery?
Yes you can. Please contact us to arrange a time.
How do I get a copy of your catalogue sent to me?
Go to Contact Us and email us your details, we will then email or post you a copy of our latest catalogue.
Do you have a wholesale list for people in the trade?
Yes we do. Please contact us and we will email/fax/post one to you.
Are all the plants you grow listed on the website?
No. There are a few trees/shrubs that are not listed because we only have a few of them left, or only a few are ready to sell. Please contact us if something isn’t on the site – we may have it.
Can my delivery be delayed if I am going away?
Yes. Please contact us and let us know when you will be returning and what date you would like them to be delivered.
What happens if the tree I ordered is out of stock and I have paid for it?
In the unfortunate event of this occurring we will contact you to see if you would like a replacement tree. If not, a full refund will be made immediately.
What happens if my tree or shrub arrives damaged?
This is laid out in the terms and conditions of sale. In the unfortunate event of this happening please notify the last carrier of the trees/shrubs within 24 hours of delivery by phone or email and within 7 days of delivery in writing. The tree/shrub will have to be returned to us before a replacement or refund is made.
Can I have an account with The Gorge Nursery?
